B had a nice two week break for Christmas and New Year's, so his parents came to visit us and spent some time in the city. We went out and about and saw all kinds of New York City things. It was freezing, freezing cold. Of course, the weather warmed up a little in New York when I went away for a week to visit my family.
And enjoyed two feet of snow. And came back to more cold.
The weather conspires to make me miserable.
While visiting my family, I went to see an amazing exhibit on da Vinci with my Gramma. That same day, I went with my cousin to the new Natural History Museum and snapped this picture of a giant sloth. I really like museums.
I also went with my Mom and tried on tons of wedding dresses and took lots of pictures, but no pictures of those are going on here! I think I found my dress because I like to be prepared. And also because I kind of love it. Next month, I'm going back to meet with The Potential Wedding Venue. And I won't try on any more dresses because it's too hot getting in and out of them. They should put a warning on them: May Cause Excessive Sweating.
I know. Super bridal.
If you haven't yet, we'd love to have you follow! Pin It

I wish I would have known what dress I looked best in sweaty... because it didn't take me long to get sweaty at our wedding! Enjoy being engaged! And when it comes to cold, remember... you could be in Minnesota ;)
ReplyDeleteI still remember trying on Wedding Dresses for the first time. You'll find the right one!
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT to see what you guys come up for your wedding.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I missed it - but when are you guys getting hitched?!?!
YAY!
And I hate snow.
Hate
It!
This is so exciting!!! :) I'm so happy for you! Is it settled then, you're getting hitched in Utah? Or.. Is the verdict still out? I'm also excited to see which dress you pick. I secretly really do wish that you'd post them on here. haha. I didn't post photos of my dress trying on experiences ever, either. haha. Such a superstitious thing, but I felt like it was important. When I brought my dress home, it was pretty poofy, so Moe helped me carry it upstairs to our apartment and he teased me that he was going to open the bag and look at it. But, fortunately he did not. He was super surprised.
ReplyDeleteI know people say that you'll know, you've heard this all the time, I KNOW, and even in a previous comment, but you really will just *know* when you put it on that it's the right one for you, on your day! The day you get to marry your best friend.. :) You will be an absolutely stunning bride, too!
I miss the snow. :)
I also am happy to hear that it's not just us that have this grocery shopping problem, haha. What is it about boys that they just want things that taste good, and have no real plan of what to do with the food that they want to buy.. haha. Also nice to know that Grenada is not the only island that is like this.. :-/ Although, I think it's a problem, with the people here. I suppose. Did you get "hit on" a lot while on Sint Maartin?
Also.. if you did meal pinning Monday it would so cool! I'd love to see what you're making. Oh. But maybe you meant you might make the donuts? I made them and Moe loves them. I hate them. They are too.. thick, not fluffy. But, I think it's because the pumpkin wasn't great.. I used fresh, and boiled it, for the sake of not wanting to turn the oven on for an hour to cook a PIECE of pumpkin, haha. And, apparently I hadn't drained it well enough. TIG I guess.
I can't wait to see how your wedding plans coming together, you're going to be a gorgeous bride girl. : )
