{FAQ}
What's a B?
It's a nickname. It stands for Bear. B is the Bear, I'm the little bear and The Bean is the Bean...thus, Three B.
Where are you from?
B and I are both from the States. B is from California and I'm from an extremely conservative state. I'll let you guess which one.
How did you and B meet?
B and I met in 2008 in Florence, Italy. We were both in Florence for our university's study abroad program.
What were you doing in St. Maarten? How long were you there for? Where is St. Maarten?
St. Maarten/St. Martin is a half Dutch, half French island in the West Indies. The Caribbean! We were there so B could complete the first two years of medical school.
There's a medical school in the Caribbean?
There are several medical schools in the Caribbean, actually. The school B attends is fully accredited by the States and is actually owned and operated by Americans. You can check it out here.
Where will you go next?
Currently, we are on Long Island while B finishes the second half of medical school known as Clinical Rotations. This isn't the same as a residency. During Clinical Rotations, B will learn mostly through observation and additional training from residents and other doctors. He has to complete rotations in several areas like OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Surgery and Internal Medicine. After he completes his rotations, he will then apply to residency, graduate from medical school and then I can finally call him Dr. B.
Oh, like Grey's Anatomy?!
What? No. Not like Grey's Anatomy. Much less exciting.
What kind of a dog is that?
A coconut retriever. Though she looks like a very small dingo.
